Residents (Sunnydale LN, Standel RD, & Cove RD).
Special thanks to everyone who showed up at the BOA meeting in January.
7 residents, 2 engineers, and 1 geologist, all spoke on their concerns
of granting a variance to 3922 Cove RD (file# 24319) to build on
a greater than 30% slope (estimated to be between 40 and 50).
Speakers were Dana Bowen, Diane
Andersen, Karen Barnett, Heather Hanson, Larry & Susan Henchel,
David Ford (see
David's request for continuance), and Tim
Harpst, Standel Homeowners Association. We collected
and submitted 23 signatures on our Variance
Opposition Petition. And 12
residents signed the letter penned by Chris Jones to the BOA
cc Joe Smolka, Emigration Canyon Community Council, expressing
various concerns.
Variance was granted to Alex Thomas (submission #23023) by the
board of adjustment on 01.17.2007. Alex has promised to pay for
any damage
suffered by the road should construction occur. The Thomas' have
received approval from the fire marshal to sidestep the turn-around
with a 300 gallon tank and submitted their full application on
Friday, March 30th.
We are working to arrange meetings with both
the Fire Authority and the Thomas' to address resident's concerns.
